Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 12pm to 2pm – In French

Fundamental research regularly makes promising discoveries. Yet the time before a new treatment becomes available to patients often remains long and complex. Why are certain molecules accessible abroad but not in France? What is the role of the media in disseminating scientific information?

To answer these questions, the FRAP network, the Espoir Pancréas association and the AFRCP are pleased to invite you to their webinar: "From Research to the Clinic: between science, media and access to treatments".

It will be held on Friday, June 5th from 12pm to 2pm.

On the agenda

  • The different stages of a research project and the limitations of preclinical models – Victoire Ruffino, researcher
  • Analysis of a recent publication (Barbacid Team, CNIO, Spain) – Erinn Soucis, researcher
  • Scientific information and editorial choices in the media – Nicolas Gutierrez C., science journalist
  • The transition from research to the clinic, why does it take so long? – Patrick Mehlen, researcher
  • Why are certain molecules available abroad but not in France? – Emmanuel Mitry, physician-researcher
  • A Q&A session will close the event, giving everyone the opportunity to interact directly with the experts.
